19 Oct 2006 - It's not everyday a 'giant flying object' lands in your living room.
Yullis Gwei and her son, Jia Jun, were stunned to find an exotic-looking owl in her Jurong East condominium on 12 October. The owl was later released back into the wild by condo's security guards.
"Could it be the haze that is causing this unusual big bird from the wild to seek refuge in buildings?" Yullis wondered.
Ever waited for a bus for a long time and boom! Two to three buses arrive at your stop in a row? Regular STOMP contributor Mike Muk experienced this long wait on 14 October, and four service 800 buses arrived at his stop to the chagrin of the irritated and growing crowd. Mike even heard fellow commuters 'cursing and swearing' at the almost one and a half hour wait. The driver of one bus was questioned, but to no avail.
