Rider dies in crash with car, motorbike hits 2 women at Bedok MRT station: Video shows him speeding and car making abrupt turn

A video of an accident that killed a motorcyclist and injured two pedestrians shows the 19-year-old rider speeding before crashing into a car that made an abrupt turn near Bedok MRT Station at about 5.33pm on Sunday (May 15).

Stomper Awyong alerted Stomp to the clip which uploaded by Gordon bedok accident 12.5.16 which shows CCTV footage from a car that was nearby the scene of the accident.

The footage shows the rider speeding past cars, when a car makes an abrupt turn.

Unable to avoid the car, the rider crashes into it, and the impact sends him flying.

His motorbike was also reportedly sent flying over the nearby railing, hitting two pedestrians.

 Police said they were alerted to the accident at Block 208 New Upper Changi Road, near Bedok MRT station, at 5.33pm on Sunday (May 15).

The accident involved a car, a motorcycle and two pedestrians, police said.

The motorcyclist was taken to Changi General Hospital (CGH), which was on standby to receive the seriously injured victim, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said.

The 19-year-old subsequently succumbed to his injuries.

The two women hit by the motorcycle were also taken to CGH for minor injuries.
