Man in his 20s injured after car turns turtle in accident along Newton Road

A red-coloured car overturned in an accident along Newton Road this morning (Aug 20) at around 7.15am.

Stomper Richard was at the scene at around 7.40am and sent photos of what happened to Stomp.

Based on the photos, the overturned car landed on its bonnet in the middle of two lanes.

Parts of the car can also be seen on the road and the pavement.

The Stomper is unsure of what happened but reported seeing a man being stretchered off by paramedics.

"There were two ambulances and a police bike at the scene.

"I also saw a woman standing around the car but I am not sure if she was involved in the accident or just a passerby", said Richard.

According to the SCDF, a male victim in his twenties sustained trauma to his back and was conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
