Fire breaks out at Bishan North Shopping Mall carpark

An anonymous Stomper, Jeffrey and FreeManLoke alerted Stomp to a fire that had broken out at the carpark of Bishan North Shopping Mall today (Apr 24) at 3pm.

The Stompers had sent in videos of the fire where black smoke can be seen rising into the air from the roof of the mall.

A Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesperson provided Stomp with the following statement:

"SCDF was alerted to a fire at a multi-storey carpark at block 282 at Bishan Street 22 at about 3.57pm.

"SCDF dispatched three fire engines, one red rhino and a support vehicle.

"The fire, which involved discarded items at a staircase landing was extinguished by SCDF using a water jet.

"There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation."
