Stomper Marcus was driving along Mackenzie Road on Mar 5 at around 10am when he saw a cyclist getting hit by a taxi after changing lanes recklessly.

In a video the Stomper sent, the cyclist can be first seen riding on the second lane of the busy four-lane road.

He signalled with his hands that he wanted to move into the third lane, and then did so without first checking for vehicles behind him.

He then recklessly continued to ride into the fourth lane without checking for traffic and did not notice that a taxi was coming his way from the back at a relatively high speed.

The cyclist was subsequently hit by the taxi and fell on the road. His head hit the ground rather hard judging from the video.

Said a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesperson with regard to what happened:

"SCDF was alerted to an accident along Mackenzie Road at about 10.20am on Mar 5.

"An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and a person was conveyed conscious to Tan Tock Seng Hospital."
