Four people were taken to hospital after a fire broke out in the living room of a second-floor unit at Block 302B Anchorvale Link on April 16.

Stomper Paul alerted Stomp to the incident and shared footage of firefighters and a fire engine at the scene.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that they were alerted to the fire at 12.40am.

Firefighters conducted forcible entry into the affected unit and extinguished the fire with a water jet, an SCDF spokesperson said.

About 30 people were evacuated by the police and SCDF from the affected block as a precautionary measure.

SCDF took four people to Singapore General Hospital for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
