Bridge for pedestrians to walk across lake gets flooded at MacRitchie Reservoir

Stomper Heng took a photo of MacRitchie Reservoir yesterday (Nov 7) at 5pm and it's bridge was flooded.

Heng often jogs at the reservoir every morning and evening.

According to him, it is flooded often.

Heng said, "This bridge is located near the bandstand and is hardly used by park enthusiasts.

"A bridge is usually built to enable pedestrians to cross a lake or river.

"However, the bridge is flooded most of the time and is erected for aesthetical purposes.

"The problem could be resolved if the bridge is raised half a metre higher.

"I hope authorities would do something to this bridge so that it really serves its purpose."
