Come read the newly revamped my paper - believed to be the world's first with equal coverage in English and Chinese.

Originally a Chinese-language freesheet, it was relaunched on Jan 8, 2008 to include English-language content which is distinct and unique from the Chinese content.

It is targeted at dynamic English-educated professionals and working adults who want an easy bicultural entry into the modern world.

These folks may be comfortable conversing in Mandarin, may listen to Mandarin music and watch Mandarin dramas, but aren't necessarily fluent enough to read hard news in Chinese.

That is why the English section is driven by hard news, ranging from local breaking stories and international affairs to business and sports, while the Chinese section specialises in dishing out a good spread of human interest, entertainment and lifestyle features.

The paper's key selling point: The Helpdesk boxes throughout the paper which provide translations and pronunciations in Chinese for English words and phrases, and vice versa.

It also aims to give exposure to the diversity of readers' and writers' voices via its numerous BTW opinion columns. There are also a buffet of sassy weekly regulars such as movies and TV reviews as well as a weekly column for young mothers called Manic Mummy.
