Sometimes, things don't work out at all. I feel so insecure all the time. No one actually listens to what I say.
I'm in my CCA's committee but I have a lowly post - a treasurer. Not even my committee members listen to me, my suggestions, or my ideas. Tell me what I should do?
Should I speak up or just be a listener and listen to everything other people have to say?
I don't sense my existence at all. It's like I was never there. Sometimes I wonder why I am even in the committee. Help!

Dear Me,
I’m sorry to hear that no one is listening to your suggestions and ideas, and you’re not feeling it fruitful to help out there.
I do believe you should speak up, instead of playing a quiet and silent role.
As to why they’re not listening, perhaps I could share a few tips on how people can listen to you?
(i) Try to keep your suggestions short and simple to understand. This helps to make your points understood.
(ii) When you hear a good suggestion from another party, voice your support. Your committee, hearing that you are listening to them, will also listen to and give feedbacks to what you have to say.
(iii) Use visuals where possible. If you feel illustrating your point may help, go to the white board, and draw a visual of what you hope to see. Ask for opinions. By showing that you have a clear imagery of what you are speaking, helps people to follow your ideas.
All the best, and enjoy your committee work.
‘I am insecure about my body’
I've been having a lot of problems since I started secondary school. I am often compared with the more pretty girls and am harassed about my flabby stomach, fat thighs and my oval face. Is there something wrong with me?

Oh dear, it sure is nasty when people start making physical comparisons and say things about you.
I don’t think anything is wrong with you. We are born each with our own gifts and unique appearances. But some people are just rather immature, and like to make silly remarks about other people.
Turn away from such nasty people. I’m sure there will be nice people in your school who will accept you for who you are, and like you simply for your character and personality traits. Let your personality shine, help people in school, and soon, people will like you simply for the way you are.
