The Straits Times Media Club Camp
The three-day non-residential camp introduces student participants to the world of journalism. Apart from an introduction to the newspaper industry, the students will be "hot-housed" in the various skills required in journalism, such as interviewing, reporting, sub-editing, lay-out and photography. These sessions will be conducted by the expects themselves - the journalists and editors from The Straits Times.
The participants will also get to go on a tour around The Straits Times' newsroom and the Print Centre, where the bulk of SPH's papers are printed. The Straits Times is the flagship paper of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH).
On top of that, students will also get to attend a press conference featuring a celebrity, be it in the sports or the entertainment field.
At the end of the 3-day camp, they will be presented with a Certificate of Participation from The Straits Times Media Clu
