Stomper shares heartfelt appreciation for foreign workers who continue to keep Singapore running this CNY festive period

Stomper Ah Boy was touched when he saw a Town Council worker at the foot of his HDB block clearing the bulky items discarded by the families during the Chinese New Year spring cleaning period yesterday (Jan 27) at 10pm. 

Said Ah Boy:

“It’s 10pm and they’re still working even though many of us are having our reunion dinner or doing our spring cleaning.

“Kudos to the foreign workers from our Town Council. 

“He is our hero and even though the items are so bulky and located above the first storey, he still went to  clear them.

“They even work when it’s CNY Eve and off office hours.

“I would like to thank them for their efforts and their dedication.

“Even though some of them may be all alone here in Singapore, I believe small gestures can be adopted to show our thanks.

“Some employers I know even made reunion dinner arrangements for their foreign workers. 

“I would also like to extend my gratitude to everyone working to keep out country running even in this festive period; the public transport drivers, our civil defence forces, and medical staff."
