A pedestrian had an accident with a motorcycle and fractured his leg and arms. In the eyes of the Law, is it possible to claim from the motorist? Regardless of whether the pedestrian is at fault?

NLB would like to suggest that you refer to the website of The Law Society of Singapore at http://www.lawsociety.org.sg/index.shtml for more information.

Once you are at the main page of the website, you can click on "You and the law" under the heading "Public Information" on the left navigation bar of the site. You should select "road accidents" next.

This page provides comprehensive advice. In particular, the section "How do I make a claim?" gives details on claiming against another person while "At the trial" provides information on liability (i.e. who is responsible) and Quantum (i.e. how much the damage caused is worth).
